Bore is a small village located on the Atlantic coast between the cities of Stavanger in the north and Egersund in the south. It is home to Borestranden Beach, one of the best surf spots in Norway and the reason why we paid this place a visit.

Lukas and I had already planned to go surfing in Norway, so we had put our wetsuits in one of the boxes and tadaaaaa: we finally was the time to use them. Max had to borrow a wetsuit + board, but since Lukas and myself had to borrow surfboards as well, we got a fair deal. The boards were soft tops and seemed pretty used, but that did not stop us to enjoy the small waves and had loads of fun in the water.
Lukas y yo ya habíamos planeado ir a surfear a Noruega, así que pusimos nuestros trajes de neopreno en una de las cajas y, tadaaaaa, finalmente llegó el momento de usarlos. Max tuvo que pedir prestado un traje de neopreno + tabla, pero como Lukas y yo también tuvimos que pedir prestado tablas de surf, obtuvimos un trato justo. Las tablas eran blandas y parecían bastante usadas, pero eso no nos impidió disfrutar de las pequeñas olas y divertirnos mucho en el agua.
We weren’t utterly alone on the beach or on the waves, but it was not a crowded lineup. There was something magical about surfing the North Sea, with swells barreling down from the Arctic, feeling like we were on the grey edge of the world.

After three hours in the 15°C cold ocean, we returned with a big smile and spent the rest of the day relaxing in the car, playing cards and drinking a couple of beers.

Unfortunately, the weather again took over the part of the killjoy, as it changed from sunny to overcast and windy, so after one and a half days, we decided to drive to Lista, a small peninsula close to Kristiansand, the city where we planned to take the ferry to Denmark, beginning our journey home.
