Just a stones throw away from Vancouver, Nectar BnB is the haven you’ve been looking for. It is located on Bowen Island tucked away on a lush and serene property. I came for the yoga, but left with my heart full and my mind relaxed. Our day started off with a morning meditation and yoga class in the infamous yoga dome.
A solo un tiro de piedra de Vancouver, Nectar BnB es el refugio que ha estado buscando. Está ubicado en Bowen Island escondido en una propiedad exuberante y serena. Vine por el yoga, pero me fui con el corazón lleno y la mente relajada. Nuestro día comenzó con una clase de yoga y meditación matutina en el infame domo de yoga.
It was a warm welcome to start the morning surrounded by the sounds and sights of the surrounding forest. We then headed over to breakfast to refuel for the day’s activities. Breakfast changes daily, but is always vegetarian. It is a beautiful selection from yogurt and granola to homemade waffles. After breakfast the day was open to explore Bowen.
Fue una cálida bienvenida comenzar la mañana rodeado de los sonidos y las vistas del bosque circundante. Luego nos dirigimos a desayunar para recargar energías para las actividades del día. El desayuno cambia todos los días, pero siempre es vegetariano. Es una hermosa selección desde yogur y granola hasta gofres caseros. Después del desayuno, el día estaba abierto para explorar Bowen.
On our journey we decided to hike up to the top of Mount Gardner for 360 degree views of the Howe Sound. From there you can easily look over the Sea to Sky and Vancouver to the East, with Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast to the West. The hike can get a little confusing, and I highly recommend using the All Trails map to help guide your way. The hike itself is moderate, but well worth the incline.
En nuestro viaje, decidimos subir a la cima del monte Gardner para disfrutar de vistas de 360 grados de Howe Sound. Desde allí, puede mirar fácilmente de Sea to Sky y Vancouver hacia el este, con la isla de Vancouver y Sunshine Coast hacia el oeste. La caminata puede ser un poco confusa, y recomiendo encarecidamente usar el mapa de All Trails para guiarlo. La caminata en sí es moderada, pero bien vale la pena.
If you are looking for something less taxing, head over to the North side of the Island and walk along the seaside. It was also recommended to us to head back to the ferry terminal to rent some sea kayaks and SUPs from Bowen Island Sea Kayaking. I always find the view from the water stunning and a wonderful way to explore a new area. The kayak was the perfect thing to do on a sunny day.
Si está buscando algo menos exigente, diríjase al lado norte de la isla y camine a lo largo de la costa. También nos recomendaron regresar a la terminal del ferry para alquilar algunos kayaks de mar y SUP de Bowen Island Sea Kayaking. Siempre encuentro la vista desde el agua impresionante y una manera maravillosa de explorar una nueva área. El kayak fue lo perfecto para hacer en un día soleado.
We headed back to Nectar to take some time with Andrea, Satjeet, Oreo, and Rascal to explore the new property. Nectar 2.0 is the new and improved Nectar. To see their dream come to fruition was inspiring. The amount of love and hard work that was put into it really comes through in every aspect of the BnB. I look forward to the next get away with Nectar.
Regresamos a Nectar para tomarnos un tiempo con Andrea, Satjeet, Oreo y Rascal para explorar la nueva propiedad. Nectar 2.0 es el nuevo y mejorado Nectar. Ver su sueño hecho realidad fue inspirador. La cantidad de amor y trabajo duro que se puso en él realmente se refleja en todos los aspectos de BnB. Espero con ansias la próxima escapada con Nectar.
